My name is Sofia Cottone, I’m a 20-year-old makeup artist and I have a deep passion for all things beauty-related. I graduated from the Complete Makeup Artistry program at CMU College with honours in prosthetics in April 2024.

My love for makeup began long before my formal education. I have always been the friend to do all my friend’s hair and makeup; my passion derives from helping others feel their most beautiful and confident. My love for beauty and art is what ultimately led me to pursue a career in makeup artistry.

I have developed a strong passion for film makeup, special effects, and creature design since starting at CMU. I enjoy all forms of makeup, but my absolute favourites are eccentric editorial looks and the whole broad scope of film makeup.

As I keep growing within my career I am dedicated to keeping myself growing as a person and artist. I thrive on meeting new people, whether it’s with new clients in my chair or collaborators on set.
